The human brain is one of the most complicated systems ever studied. Biopsychology, the study of how our brain produces behavior – from basic functions like breathing and eating to more sophisticated tasks like writing songs or learning calculus – is a diverse and fascinating field. This course will focus on the fundamental brain structures and biological processes that underlie many different behaviors and disorders studied by psychologists, including brain development and injury, movement, and language. In addition, for this service-learning & PEG 2 course, we will partner with Hinds’ Feet Farm in order to learn and work alongside individuals living with acquired brain injuries.
