This course continues the introduction to basic communication in Spanish. Emphasis is on developing socially and culturally appropriate proficiency in interpersonal, interpretive and presentational spheres, with a focus on intercultural awareness. This task-based communicative approach engages students in the local Latinx community through various Service-Learning opportunities that consider the complex challenges of negotiating new places and spaces.
