This course focuses on improving vocal quality, clarity, and volume in speaking, with a specific emphasis on communicating the student's own written work. Physical and vocal activity will be used to open the breathing, strengthen the voice, relax the muscles of respiration and articulation, and stimulate the creative imagination and development of a personal style. The course will address common hindrances to effective speaking such as: nervousness, speech impediments, accent reduction, pronunciation, and shyness. This course is especially recommended for writers.
