This course explores social work as a possible career path and as a professional means by which to affect individual and system change. Students learn about the values and ethics of the social work profession as well as the social, economic, political, historical, and cultural injustices that social work advocates to change. Through community engagement in a local social service agency and reflection on their experience, students examine their interest in the social work profession.
