In this solutions-based course, students explore key local, regional, and global environmental issues of the 21st Century and how scientists, land managers, policy makers, and the general public can tackle these together. This lab- and field-based course uses the Warren Wilson College Center for Working Lands as a resource for our understanding of issues such as climate change, eutrophication, biodiversity loss, and food and water access, along with potential community-based, sustainable, and equitable solutions to these complex problems.
