This course introduces students to basic communication in Spanish. Emphasis is on developing socially and culturally appropriate proficiency in interpersonal, interpretive and presentational spheres, with a focus on intercultural awareness. This task-based communicative approach engages students in the Latinx/e community through various Service-Learning opportunities that explore the intersection of culture, power and place.Classes are conducted in Spanish.
