This studio course covers 16mm filmmaking basics, including designing composition over time through the moving image camera lens, and editing with both analog and digital processes. Through a series of short film projects, students explore the material of 16mm film as a means of creating radical joy and telling stories that need to be told. This introductory course has no prerequisites, and embraces a playful sense of discovery. You should expect to spend time out of class filming and editing your projects.
