Anatomy and Physiology I provides an introductory overview of mammalian physiological systems. Cellular and tissue organization and structure and function of mammalian systems is explored. This course focuses on the following mammalian systems: skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, and nervous system. This course includes organ and tissue dissections as part of the laboratory activities. This course prepares students for advanced studies in anatomy and physiology and provides a foundation for careers in animal and human medicine. Prerequisite(s): BIO 1160 General Biology and CHM 1160 General Chemistry I or permission of instructor.
