Karl Marx is one of the most influential thinkers of the last two centuries. His work has been embraced, dismissed, and debated in ways both informed and not so informed. Recently, with the rise of globalization, Marx’s writings are being studied with renewed interest. This course will look at his writings in their broad scope: philosophical, political, and economic. The goal will be to have a critical encounter with the vision Marx articulated. Topics courses are 2 or 4 credit, in-depth, thematic courses that may be repeated for credit under a different theme. May be repeated up to two times for a maximum of 12 credits. GE: Humanities - Philosophical Inquiry
