This course is designed for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Studies (B.A.) students completing their capstone in ENS 4600 Environmental Leadership in Community. Informed by the study of topics such as participatory action research, intersectional environmentalism, and ethical data collection, students practice reciprocity and professionalism with each other, and with community partners, and begin designing capstone projects that will build upon Warren Wilson’s connections to our watershed - and further investigate its food, energy, water, and community systems. May be repeated up to one time for a maximum of 4 credits. Prerequisites: Junior standing, ENS1170 Introduction to Environmental Science, and ENS 1200 Everybody’s Environment! People, Place, and Planet.
