Queer migration looks at the movement embedded in queerness from coming out politics to developing care structures to navigating life trajectories to understanding one's gender to seeking affirming healthcare. Putting theory into motion, this course takes students on the road to understanding the journeys of queer/trans life, one that is further enhanced by working with activists and organizations. The course incorporates podcasting and short videos to feature key players in queer/trans activists and to understand further what queer migration entails. Topics courses are 2 or 4 credit, in-depth, thematic courses that may be repeated for credit under a different theme. May be repeated up to two times for a maximum of 12 credits.
